Davos Turns Into Weekend of Trump Turmoil

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in Davos for the World Economic Forum, where he’ll be speaking to attendees in Davos – formerly known as WEF’s Alpine getaway. Trudeau will see a lot of American people as he travels from town to town – and will likely hear from them questions about the Trump administration.

He’s likely to hear a lot of Democrats, who were fired up over Trump’s inauguration week withdrawal from the Paris climate accord, which pledged to fight climate change. But it was Donald Trump who campaigned on the issue and, in the first year of his presidency, was consistently dogged by questions about the issue. He’s had his share of stumbles, even after taking steps to fulfill some of his environmental promises like building the Keystone XL pipeline and ending the Obama administration’s use of the coal-burning strategy known as carbon capture and sequestration.
