In the year since retired New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady asked Cleveland Browns wide receiver and stadium super fan Kenny Britt to introduce him to a wide array of LeBron James guests — including stars from the entertainment world, athletes, NASCAR drivers, country music acts, New York City chefs and some tennis players — he has shied away from being photographed and even divulged his personal assistant.
But on the other side of the Bills playing field this week, Brady ran into a problem. Britt was in the act of giving him the game ball from his 600th touchdown pass and was having difficulty doing so.
“You were telling me you was gonna find a way to get the ball out, didn’t you?” Brady said, laughing, to his old wide receiver. “I’ll find you a last minute way. Let’s just say I’m not telling the coaching staff,” he cracked, to loud laughter from the crowd.
Brady asked for the ball back, giving him the balls, too.
With the grand prize of the honor of fetching the ball back for Brady drawing to a close, Britt went on to reveal what he wants for the remainder of his week at Gillette Stadium: a round of golf.
